ATLAS SMS 15 - fast-setting, self-leveling surface finish (1-15 mm).
Levels substrates in the range of 1 – 15 mm – both when the substrate has only local irregularities and when it is executed with a slight slope.
Elevates the floor level in the whole room – e.g. when necessary to equalize the level in two adjacent rooms.
May be used in rooms, antechambers, halls, living rooms, offices, corridors, waitingrooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Recommended for leveling surfaces of existing subfloors with heating systems – when the irregularities in the subfloor make the execution of facing impossible, an additional thin layer of the compound must be applied.
Forms very smooth surface after application – particularly recommended as a finishing coat for subfloors applied under carpet flooring.
The main characteristics
- under tiles, panels, carpet flooring, parquet
- foot traffic just after 4 hours
- tiling after 24 hours
- high compressive and flexural strength
- low linear contraction
The main parameters:
- consumption: 20 kg / 1 m² / 10 mm of layer thickness
- compressive strength: ≥ 25.0 N/mm²
- layer thickness: 1 ÷ 15 mm
Properties
Perfect spreading – enables easy horizontal surface execution even in large rooms, without using guide strips and mass raking up with rules.
Fast-setting - rapid strength build-up enables foot traffic just after 4 hours of the subfloor application.
Compressive strength: ≥ 25.0 N/mm².
Flexural strength: ≥ 7.0 N/mm².
Very low linear contraction – minimum subfloor linear changes during setting (≤ 0.6 mm/rm) limit the possibility of its cracking and loosening of weak substrates (of low cohesion).
Suitable for manual and machine application – it can be easily and quickly applied both manually and with the use of machines equipped with helical pumps, obtaining high efficiency.
Consumption
The average consumption is 20 kg of mortar for 1 m² for each 10 mm of layer thickness.
